International Womans Day Campaign

My concept for this Social Campaign for City Council of Barcelona on International Women's Day comes from the idea of the common or connecting thread between all women: a belief in a fairer future for women connecting everyone, regardless of their differences.

I chose to show this idea through the use of a continuous, unbreakable line, turning and weaving around the canvas to show strong, yet everyday women. The thread even spans across multiple canvases, really emphasising how connected we all are.
These were the 4 colours I chose. Purple was the first choice, as it is the International Woman’s Day colour and I though pink and blue were important to include, pink being a historically ‘girly’ colour and blue the opposite, here they work together and again send the message that women won’t be forced to live by stereotypes anymore.
I feel that although they are powerful colours, they work together in a soothing way, neither one competing for attention against the other.
Finally I included some posts for instagram to launch an online campaign too.
